born and raised in texas. two young musicians try to collaborate folk blues and hard rock as one. with no band name set in stone, the name "littrel and curliss" is temporarily in use. chris curliss on guitar and vocals and travis littrel on drums. originally, the two started out as a metal jam duo. later discovering a new love for simple and melodic songs, the two later combined their heavier influences with softer acoustic tones. most of their songs began as acoustic folk, and later were transformed into heavier power pop songs. deciding to leave behind metal for now, the two still remain to not only make folk rock, but also add a tasteful hint of punk and hard rock. ultimately, a sound that is not too soft nor too heavy.

Atheriel is a singer/songwriter and pianist from Johannesburg. Influenced at an early age by songs like “The Phantom of the Opera” and Queen’s “Princes of the Universe”, Atheriel’s music is a fusion of moody lyrics, dark piano ballads and heavy metal.

Writing poetry since she can remember, Atheriel never imagined that those poems would soon turn into emotive pieces of music. By the time she began recording in 2006 she had already written over 40 different songs. In 2008, Atheriel released her Captured EP which includes 6 tracks. Atheriel is currently playing at various live music venues in and around Johannesburg showcasing her latest material.

The times they are a-changin'. It would seem that more and more we think back to the old days of the original Nile Crocodile and all the great Rock bands that used to play there. Now we look around and there are no more venues left like Nile and most of the bands that used to play with us have also moved on. Our line-up features founding members of old Nile regulars like Orange, Misericord, Rhutz and D-DAY 4-EVER. Yes, the times are changing, the venues are changing, we are changing... we are now members of The Dying Breed.

It’s an age old rock ‘n roll story, bent and twisted to the sounds of a new generation, pushing the boundaries of what is expected and testing the waters for a new league of rockers. If 6 Was 9 are a band bound by their love of the classics, inspired by the sounds of now and yet forging a new musical path.

Mostly slow, heavy and loud, but there's also some softer parts. No vocals.

We are an easy listening high energy band which performs both covers and originals. Our main genre's are pop/rock, classic rock, blues, etc We have been working the pub scene in and around Johannesburg for 4 months now, and we are an experienced and talented band, catering for most types of audiences. We are attempting to keep our prices low so that we are still accessible and gain valuable exposure We are a diverse band with our ages 21, 26, 33, 58.
