Die Boer is a wonderful restaurant theatre that serves great food. K, Ray and The Bird is a 5 piece folk/rock band from Cape Town whose music has been described as quirky, fresh and original - remniscent of The Beatles, Crowded House, Simon and Garfunkel and Dave Matthews band - with lots of interesting melodies and harmonies. Derek Leisegang is a folk/rock singer/songwriter whose music is easy-listening acoustic.

Shannon got a head start in the music scene when she started performing as one half of the Pretoria- based acoustic duo, Syrens at 16. Syrens went on to share stages with big name SA acts like The Awakening, Matthew van der Want and Chris Letcher, Kaolin Thomson and Anika.

Later, after Syrens went their separate ways, Shannon went to Europe where she tested the waters in London, busked the chilly streets of Galway, Ireland and spent two summers playing on the picturesque Greek island of Ios. 

Last January the Road Warriors launched their year-long celebration of three decades of performance together with a run at the Baxter in Cape Town and garnering high critical acclaim in the process. Since then this iconic guitar duo have unleashed their inimitable brand of acoustic guitar music on appreciative audiences throughout South Africa.

CRYSTAL PARK was formed by former members of popular JHB-based Dirty Rock n' Roll outfit, The Hellphones after their departure from the SA Music Scene in 2010. Members Tenn Elliot, Joe Cole and Kev Hall had a long-standing relationship with Country Music, and felt there was a massive gap for this kind of music.

A Boy Called Wolf Ears is launching a powerful set of indie pop songs at Newtown's Unity Gallery on Saturday the 28th May.

A guy. A guitar. A very good producer. It's the stuff of mythical music legends, but we all know that a quality set of songs, simply but thoughtfully put together, remains a rarity. Nonetheless, Joburg-based singer songwriter A Boy Called Wolf Ears is giving this status quo a quiet middle finger as he launches his eponymous first album.
