Mix n Blend's Debut Album African Dope Records presents "Look Mom, No Hands."

'Look Mom, No Hands', the debut album by Mix n Blend is being released in October, 2009 on African Dope Records.

The Republic of South Africa - where it takes a lot to satisfy everybody, and even more to satisfy a handful of people and where the hard and fast rule in music is to try one’s level best to slide seamlessly through influences, genres, tastes, preferences or whatever else makes people sit up and take notice these days. This is the approach taken by Cape Town's fast-rising live DJ-trio Mix n Blend.

Mix n Blend are 3 individuals who like to play with sound in all its forms, all the time, whether it be designing sonics for TV and radio or composing new material to play out live at at various festivals around the country.

We're located on the tip of Africa, where there used to be a lot of dragons on sea maps a couple of hundred years ago. Now there aren't any, and where we are, in Cape Town, all the Lion and wildebeest have now disappeared too.

A long overdue partnership between AFRICAN DOPE and FICTION DJ BAR launches on wednesday 8th october - a dope night out every week. expect dj sets and live electronic acts spanning the genres to include hiphop, breaks, dub, drum n bass, swing, funk, electro, dubstep, ragga, dope step and beyond ... the time is now and the future is DOPE.
