Durban's critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter Shannon Hope is in Cape Town to record the much-anticipated follow up to her debut album. From 8 -10 January, the songstress takes a break from the studio for three performances in and around Cape Town, giving audiences a chance to preview some of the material to be featured on the next record. Hope has been tugging on South African heart strings since the release of her debut solo album in 2009, with her intriguingly powerful heart songs.

My name is Nicci Hayden, I am a Travel Counsellor based in the wonderful suburb of Durbanville in Cape Town. I grew up in Johannesburg, but moved here with my family in 1998. It was definitely the right move as the lifestyle in Cape Town is just indescribable. I recently got married and my husband and I have settled down in our very own home.

Jinx, ‘a five piece menagerie of singers, songs and
players of parts’ is set to battle it out at the Durex Ultimate Battle of the
Bands. Their opponents being: Autumn of August, Idle Sunday & Mall Suicide.
