The Inspiration

Inspired by jazz greats Cole Porter, Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong and more recently Sting & Michael Buble, Jazz Forte, brings you mood music at its best by infusing their unique take on timeless jazz standards with subtle contemporary flare.

Our Uniqueness

Jazz Forte gives audiences instantly recognizable melodies with Warren’s velvet vocals whereas the vast majority of jazz bands in Cape Town are purely instrumental.

Mood Music

This is where electro meets Live. SAMA nominated Band Abbott Nu Jazz will be performing a mix of lounge, dub, deep house and all things Nu Jazz. Sunset, cocktails and summer grooves.

Hailing from Blue Moon Farm in the Overberg, this duo plays funky folk rock songs written by Daniel Boshoff the lead singer, guitarist and kick-drummer, who recently won a prize at the Barleycorn Music Club's annual songwriter's competition. Accompanying him on bass and backing vocals is Blue Lew , an old hand from the days of “ Benny B Funk and the Sons of Ghadaffi’s Barmitzvah Band “. They're inspiration is born in the country air and raised on the easy life and their music shows it.

BRICKFIELDS FESTIVAL, taking place at one of Johannesburg’s most revered and legendary venues Carfax, will bring together some of the most outstanding artists and performers in cutting edge underground genres that SA has to offer on 4 massive stages. Supported by sSHADOWORKSs, the talent agency from Cape Town, with artists represented at major festivals like OPPIKOPPI and ROCKING THE DAISIES, this is not to be missed.

Durex is proud to present the FINAL BATTLE in the biggest national battle of the bands in the country. One band will walk away with the grand prize valued at over R100 000! Prizes for the audience up to the value of R10 000 (including an Apple iPad) will also be drawn on the night!
