MUSIC TRAVEL – EARTH 2011

The track “Music Travel”, is a translation into music of a spiritual journey for humanity, focusing on trying to love, with positive intent and in a meaningful manner. The track which involves South African artists quickly jumped to number 5 on the world DMC dance charts.

 

Music Travel – Earth is an event, held annually, which purpose is to bring people together (artists, musicians, DJ’s and clubbers), in a journey of love with the objective of raising funds for the Acorn Foundation (www.acornfoundation.org.za) so that through the collective effort, a meaningful contribution can be made to children and our planet, for a brighter future for all.

MANOUE started as a studio project in 2009 and quickly grew into a now more formidable collection of songs. The focus is on production, composition and the fusion of various rock sounds in order to create fresh, innovative music which can serve a variety of markets through its versatility and energy.

Mbira attacks, drums counter, mandolin returns.

An unexpected and wholly spontaneous encounter between three seasoned improvisors using drums, saxophone, mandolin, african instruments and surprise.

Niklas Zimmer (drums) is a German-South African artist and musician working in photography, sound and performance. As a progressive percussionist, he has collaborated with James Webb and Brydon Bolton. He is founder of the Upland07 music label. www.upland07.com

Ticket cost will be as follows:
- R150 for the whole weekend (incl camping fee and cloth badge)
- R65 for day pass
- R60 for children between 2 - 12 years for the weekend
- R20 for children between 2 - 12 years for the day
- Children younger than 2 get in for free!
