Munyaradzi aka Calabash grew up in a rural village of masvingo. He went onto study ethno musicology at the zimbabwe college of music because he had increased passion for traditional music instruments. After completing in 2001, he won a scholarship from Mmino Nowergian music eduaction to study music business. Since then he has been actively involved in teaching, training and performing of traditional african music instruments. K.I.A.T. is a 5 member band from Zimbabwe, currently resident in Cape Town and play their music on marimbas, mbira, djembe, drums and acoustic guitar with beautiful vocals.

Their style ranges from African traditional music to what they call K.I.A.T. music.
