February 2013 has just promised to be one of the most phenomenal months of the year with the announcing of Cosmic Gate’s “Wake Your Mind South Africa Tour” landing in Cape Town on the 8th February and moving over to Johannesburg the following night. The German trance duo, Bossi and Nic Chagall are back in SA after their previous sold out tour in April 2012, accompanied by leading vocalist Emma Hewitt, ready to give all Electronic Dance Music fans an electrifying night of bass blasting trance tracks that will have them dancing the night out.

Career opportunities for Sound Production in Music, Film, TV, Gaming and New Media are sky-rocketing as our domestic industry grows. As a result, the sector is seeing an increasing demand for highly trained personnel. 

In order to meet this demand SAE Institute Cape Town is proud to announce the launch of Africa’s first bachelor’s degree in Sound Production. As sound production technology becomes more affordable and accessible, we have seen an increase in home-studios and the emergence of thousands of aspiring producers. Yet very few are equipped to handle the demands made by a rapidly changing industry.

Hitting the Brampton Sound Stage on September 7 for Friday Nite LIVE!, is experienced South African singer-songwriter Stefan Dixon. Stefan performs acoustic, melodic rock and draws his influence from the likes of SA musical icons Vusi Mahlasela and Johnny Clegg. He also draws inspiration from nature, and the curses that humans have afflicted upon it. His songs are highly emotive and thought-provoking. You don’t want to miss this performance!
