Vocalist & songwriter Claire Phillips is Cape Town’s newest discovery. Claire’s vocal range complements a repertoire which spans jazz, funk, soul and folk. She normally performs in a trio: her own guitar and voice working alongside the bass, drums and keys. Further acknowledgement for the young performer and songwriter came in the form of an SA Music Award ("SAMA") nomination for "Best R&B/Soul Album". Her debut album "Say My Name" went on to win the category at the 13th annual SAMA Awards.
