The Rainbow Room welcomes to their stage The Cape Town Show. Using music, dialogue and visuals top artists, Denay Willie, Godfrey Johnson, Dobs Madotyeni, Josh Prinsloo and Jade de Waal join ten talented Rainbow Academy performers to tell the tale of the Mother City and its people, their tenacity, endurance and hilarious sense of humor during our struggle and eventual freedom. Sizzling, soulful, energetic and a cultural celebration of our rainbow nation and the city’s people, lives and heritage this show will take you on a magical journey.

Oliver Mtukudzi performs in The Rainbow Room in Celebration of the World Cup

With his husky voice, he has become the most recognized voice to emerge from Zimbabwe and onto the international scene and he has earned a devoted following across Africa and beyond. Oliver, or "Tuku" to his fans, has had a career that has spanned more than twenty years and 40 original albums (nearly all of them best-sellers). However, it is his dedication to the live music scene in Zimbabwe, & more recently South Africa - playing to enthusiastic audiences in even the remotest parts of the country - that has earned him the place in people"s hearts that he holds today.

26 January 2010 - Multi SAMA award-winning jazz saxophonist Moreira Chonguica accompanied by his four piece band ‘The Moreira Project’ will be the headline act at one of Cape Town's hottest new jazz clubs, The Rainbow Room on Saturday, 6 February.

Marcus Wyatt hails from Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape has been playing the horn since 1983. He is part of a new generation of South African musicians - respectful of the past,yet moving forward without fear of twisting boundaries.

Bokani Dyer trio featuring Shane Cooper and Claude Cozens

Bokani Dyer (Macha) is a young pianist born in Gaborone, Botswana. After spending most of his childhood in Botswana, he moved to Cape Town to pursue an education in music at the South African College of Music at the University of Cape Town. The ‘Bokani Dyer Trio’ was formed during his time at the college.
