Cape Town Stand-Up Comedian, Mark Palmer (originally from Durban), has worked the South African Comedy Circuit since 2002, performing all over South Africa, as well as the USA, UK & Australia.
After a number of years in the legal / financial field (with a law degree behind his name), he left the "riveting" 9-5 world of collars-and-ties for the stage and its microphone. He has perfomed a couple of one-man shows, including the hilarious tribute to Billy Connolly, "Not Quite Billy" as well as his very own brand of comedy in "Doing It Standing Up!" Both above-mentioned shows were very well received getting great reviews from the local papers.

Mark performs as a comedian as well as an MC, Corporate Functions Host and Compere, and has performed at rock festivals (Rock the Bay 2005 and Rocking the Daisies 2006/2007, Durban Rocks 2006 and LenteLawaai 2007) and has also hosted the "Miss Bikini World SA Semi-Finals in Cape Town and the Finals at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg". He has also MC'd the Miss & Mr Matieland finals in Stellenbosch as well as the awards dinner for Boland College. Mark has also been involved in organizing events - from LIVE COMEDY SHOWS to various LIVE MUSIC EVENTS. He has also tried his hand at acting and has appeared in local and foreign movies and as well as a number of TV commercials.
