In addition to this you will benefit from future discounts for your uploads, more visibility for your pages and other discounts.

iMusician will charge you a setup fee for any additional albums so that they can get your music distributed to all digital stores and will only take 15% commission from your digital sales.

About the Overtone and iMusician Deal.

Which shops do iMusician deliver your music to?

The numbers change weekly as iMusician deal with more and more shops but in all, we have access to about 150-200 shops. This does not mean that your music will appear in all shops because: some are boutique shops that only take a certain genre other shops screen the music and take only a selection.

However, shops like iTunes, Amazon, 7Digital and Napster generally do not refuse any music.

Notes

Your music is offered to these shops but they all have their own music policies. Some shops look for "Top 100" hits, others look for "genres" like dance, hiphop or even language.

Shops like iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, 7Digital and Napster generally do not refuse any music .

Sales Royalties, statements & payment

We upload your sales to your account as soon as iMusician have received payment from the shops*.

By logging into iMusician, you can see how much you have made and receive your money by clicking [Pay me now]**.

* it often takes 3 to 5 months from the time when a sale is made until we receive the money.

** Payments are made at the end of the month.

Format (digital, cd, vinyl etc)

iMusician only need your "digital" rights. That means none of your other rights (CD rights, vinyl rights) are affected by the deal.

Territory

By country or the whole world (default).

Accepted Music (quality control)

iMusician are a service for the indie musician and band but we do not accept:

Songs with questionable content (eg racist/unethical lyrics)

bad recordings (un-mastered, unprofessional etc)

Terms & Termination

Download the full licensing agreement from iMusician when you sign up.

Any songs or albums you send iMusician fall under this agreement and lasts as long as you want to keep your music with iMusician.

You can terminate the agreement whenever you like:

The termination must be in writing

Your rights will be returned after 3 months (giving iMusician time to retract the release from all the shops)

There is a 25 euro termination fee if the termination is in the first 12 months.

All invoices to iMusician Digital must be paid before your rights are returned.

Exclusivity (can I work with anyone else?)

We are NON-exclusive. This means that you can work with any shops that we do not supply DIRECTLY.

However, you can not work with any other "digital distributions" (content aggregators) like us because it will make a huge mess.
