Babu Kicks Off National University Music Tour In March
Cape Town world fusion quartet Babu kicks-off their national university tour at The Go Go Bar, Newtown on 6 & 7 of March and 9th at Wits University. The band brings their energetic virtuoso performances to Johannesburg for the first time. Audiences will be treated to a fresh interpretation of the long love affair between Jazz and Indian classical music.

V-Fest Postponed To 2009, Top Bands Won’t Play

So Virgin Festival’s idea of scooping the South African hip kids on two of the hottest days of the 2008 summer season was not to be. For those who get up after noon, the news is that V-Fest has been postponed to next year to secure the international line-up that was “simply not available at that time of year.”
