Mc Norman‘s Biography

Mc Norman is a Ugandan born based in South Africa as well as a Ugandan musician and a music producer. He was born to Mr Eddy Ganja and Rosette Ganja based in Kampala. Eddy Ganja is a Ugandan music legend with The Afrigo Band in Uganda. In 1989 mc Norman began his career by joining some mobile disco sound which was by then called Missouri disco sounds which used to go round every weekend in different places as well as playing on occasions and weddings. mc Norman joined as a club mc who used to keep the dance floor going with his raga maffin rap style which by then he adopted from the Jamaican singers like : Buju banton , The green slivers , Papa san , Shaba ranks , Queen patra and many more. Mutebi Norman AKA Mc Norman did well in the club he made fame for himself. By then he was one of the top club Mc’s with a special voice that everyone loved to hear on the microphone all over the night clubs in Ugandan accept that he was still young of which some clubs he wasn’t allowed in because of his age, but sometimes he was granted entry because they needed him. In the 1990’s to 96 he worked with many Ugandan Djs and Mcees like : Dj Henry Rota , Dj chazo , Dj Junior B , Dj Turbo B , Dj Bob , Dj Rhino Kalemba , Dj Frank , Dj Ivan Matama ,Dj Sam , Dj Njuba , Dj Honey B , Dj Roberto , Dj Alberto and Dj Kimuli all these Deejays were at their best in town by then, and they all loved what Mc Norman did which made them to start recording mix tapes using him as a guest Mc in the mix . The first mix was done by Rude boy devor who’s now a Musician with The Afrigo band in Uganda. It was mixed by some deejays around town and sold to a mix tapes seller who then knew that if Norman can add his vocal on top it will sound good and be able to sale it out, that’s why he invited Mc Norman to the studios and told he to record his vocals on top of rude boy‘s vocal and it was sold out to people who loved club mixes which included a track titled Sembera Maama E wange. In 1991 to 1992 there was Raga Dee, shanks vv Dee, Orlando, Menton summer as the top club rappers who used to do the raga maffin style from Jamaica, but they were joined by Mc Norman as another top Mc at Missouri club which made Missouri very famous that he was later joined by a group of young talented rappers, who wanted to show off what they had by then. But, they were denied a chance by the club owner who did not allow anyone from outside to hold the mic only the deejays and the mc of the club. Then they went on visiting the club every weekend as they were still at school until the day they met with mc Norman and dj bob who used to play at their school trans days and they introduced themselves by reminding dj bob that they were the guys that he met at the school where he was playing that last weekend. Then mc Norman decided to accept them after having commands from the deejay to try and listen to what they had by then but , surprisingly the guys were good and up to now one of them is Jose chameleon and Dj bernazor based in united states of America . In 1999 Mc Norman left Uganda to South Africa were he joined his brother Phillip Ganja a film actor and producer of Welcome to South Africa 1 and 2 as well as Braddina. They started a music company which was Ganja music productions before changing to celeb entertainment. The company kicked off with Arthur Mofokate with his triple 9 group and they staged a music show which didn’t go well but they didn’t give up they continued with Penny Penny a shangani music singer in South Africa which also did not do as expected but still they went on until the day Phillip worked on his movies which helped a lot on the company not to fall apart until this day it’s still operating in Johannesburg city South Africa. Mc Norman has worked on his full raga, pop, reggae, afro beat, gospel and many more to be featured on the album. In 2006 mc released some single hits titled Nkwata Mpola, Hamba ne ntombizhako which did well in the night clubs and on air but, was not launched because of the sponsors. He was always invited by his fellow musicians like raga Dee, mega Dee, raga ben, club silk, to perform on their music shows and night club events until 2008 he returned back to South Africa and decided to work on a full album titled Ndiyabuza featuring a South African Multi Talented artist Tumza K as a vocalist on most of his songs on the album.
