Public Enemy is set to come to South Africa

October 2010: The well known, acclaimed hip hop immortals, Public Enemy are coming to South Africa! To add to the excitement, they will be holding free music workshops both in Cape Town and Johannesburg and they have also added a performance in the Cape flats area to their tour schedule!

Loved and respected by their fans for their politically-charged lyrics in the 80s, Public Enemy is a force to be reckoned with. The band was ranked number 44 on the list of Immortals by Rolling Magazine. A few years later, in 2007 they were inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame

The band consists of Chuck D, Flavor Flav and Professor Griff who are all strong individuals, something that is reflected in their lyrics.

Their passion revolutionised the music industry as they were the first band, ever to release MP3-only albums! They then went on to cement their status in the hip hop world by becoming one of the first rap acts to perform at the Reading and Leeds Festival, in England, headlining the second day of the three day festival.

This is Public Enemy’s first tour in South Africa and it is not to be missed!
