Sterkfontein Heritage Lodge is a quaint 3 star Country House Hotel situated at the top of King’s Kloof, Krugersdorp, with one of the finest yet most undiscovered views in Gauteng, the panorama of the Sterkfontein valley overlooking the Cradle of Humankind. This unique piece of land on the outskirts of Krugersdorp has been first hand witness to the evolution of our current landscape and its inhabitants throughout history. From Mrs. Ples a few million years ago, the likes of Mzilikasie and Robert Moffat at the turn of the century, to being proclaimed a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1999 and its subsequent rise to one of South Africa’s premiere tourism destinations, The Cradle of Humankind. Surely making it an ideal setting to celebrate the collective heritage we share as South Africans.

We at Sterkfontein Heritage Lodge in partnership with Moledie Music Productions would like to invite you to join us on Heritage Day 24th September for a Jazz Concert, as we celebrate our heritage through the universal language of music. Featuring performances by local musicians Jean Zenan and The MMP Jazz Band as well as a guest performance by Citie Seetso, The Ambassador of Jazz from Botswana.

The event will take place at our premises in Rant en Dal Krugersdorp, from 16h00 till late. There will be an entrance fee of R100 at the gate and includes a welcome drink on arrival. Bring your own picnic basket with something to eat or alternatively you could order from our menu. Please note that no alcohol purchased elsewhere will be allowed on the premises. Performed in all spheres of the music profession in South Africa, the United Kingdom, Europe and Scandinavia, including jazz clubs, weddings and corporate functions, recording sessions, television, cabaret, nightclubs, theatre etc. Worked with name artists including Charlie Sayers, Johnny Fourie, Salena Jones, Eartha Kitt, George Lee, among others, in South African and London venues including Branch Office, Bela Napoli, Ronnie Scott's, Pizza Express, 100 Club, Green Dolphin, to name a few. Have taught music to children and adults. Composer and recording artist having released two CDs, achieving RadioIndy Gold Artist award for 2008 album entitled "Changes".
