Dwain Paul Music Productions is a freelancing Production Studio.

Dwain Paul Producer of both RnB as well as house music has been producing for at least 4 to 5 years. What started out as a hobby, has since progressed to greater things, as Dwain has excelled in producing several tracks of different genres that has attracted great interest. He has therefore decided to take the next step which is to get his music out there to pursue his dream of becoming a full time music producer. Having come across a young vocalist by the name of Ronald Jones, with his voice and Dwain’s music it has taken off with great potential.

Ronald Jones has the love for singing since the age of 7. He has been searching for a producer that can take his music to the next level and potentially have a future in this industry.

Born and Bred in the Midlands of Kwa Zulu Natal, Pietermaritzburg, now resident on the North Coast of Kwa Zulu Natal. I have gigged at various clubs, pubs and restaurants in the area. These include The Polo Tavern, Spurs Restaurants, The Camden Hotel, The Thistle Hotel, Eldorado Ladies Bar, Black Forest Inn, The Capital Towers Hotel (various restaurants within), The Cato Ridge Hotel, Private gatherings, amongst others. I have also gigged in Margate at The Margate Hotel, The Palms, The Yard ‘O’ Ale, The Faerie Glen and at The St. Micheals Hotel and Mountjoy Hotel in St. Micheals-on-Sea. I have had gigs at Hickory’s, Blu Pub, in Ballito, Karibu, Hops, and more recently at Cane Cutters Resort in Sheffield Beach. I have played a set at the 2010 Mr. Price Pro Beach Festival in Ballito. Also a contender at “The Battle of The Pub Muso’s” at Hops, Ballito.

I play guitar & vocals with backing tracks; I include my own “homegrown” tunes and also do covers of the likes of Seether, Cat Stevens, Crosby Stills Nash, Neil Young, The Eagles, Snow Patrol, Oasis, Donovan, The Marmalade, John B Sebastian, John Lennon, America, Leonard Cohen, Afroman, Bob Marley, Beatles, Paperlace, Kid Rock, Bachman Turner Overdrive, JJ Cale, and other performers.

Chiba Fly

Biography

Chiba Fly as we know it today, were born in Sept 2008, when Joe Voges (Guitar & Vocals) teamed up with Jako Loots (Percussion). After one or two rehearsals it became clear to them that their music would cater for a wider audience. Music as a world language has rhythm at its core, directly influencing our primitive emotions. Therefore Chiba Fly decided to go to the core of music and portray it as pure and simple as possible.

Joe Voges

Started playing his dad’s guitar when he was twelve years old, has no formal training in music. In High School he played the snare-drum for the marching band, but after school he swapped it for a djembe, and has since never looked back. Joe writes the lyrics and music for Chiba Fly.

Jako Loots

Started with percussion in 1997 and later moved on to the drum kit. Jako makes up the rhythm section and heartbeat of Chiba Fly. He has featured with the likes of Duusman and Scicoustic in the late nineties, and then moved on to projects like Gordon’s Suitcase and Couch Potatoes for whom he’s performing at the moment.

Andries Bruyns

Started off making didgeridoo's 16 year ago in 1991. Later he made didgeridoos and sold them at markets, to support his studies. In his 3 rd year at Collage he sustained 3 rd degree burns over 75% of his body in a bush fire on the property at Klitsgras. After a year of recovery he was faced with 4 more operations, after already having had 12 operations during his 3 months stay in hospital. The fact that his lungs were badly damaged by the fire and heat was something else he had to face. This was overcome by playing the didgeridoo and perfecting circular breathing. This increased his lung capacity back to fully functioning.

Andries also went to the UK and started up a band that was called “One World” that consisted of 6 musos a Tablas-, Djembe-, Bass Guitar-, Sitar-, Acoustic Guitar- and Didge player. They opened the Queen’s Birthday party celebration in Leicester city in 2002 and were on the BBC as a collective band that cut so many musical and racial barriers. After coming back to SA he joined forces with some local musicians and they formed the band “Tokkelos “, which was described as “Afro funk style of tribal music”.

Jonathan Georgiades

Jonathan studied Jazz Guitar at Pretoria Technikon. Amongst others he has played in bands such as SLT, Action Thrillers, Baobab, Pennies from Heaven, as well as numerous cover bands. Jonathan has been playing guitar for fourteen years and bass guitar for two years. He also runs his own sound company.

Illimar Neitz

Studied Music at the University of Pretoria, and was fortunate to have had Johnny Fourie as one of his lecturers. He has played in numerous bands, such as Four Ounce Freedom, Placid Fun and Ménage a Trois. He has also done a large amount of session work for musicians such as Natalie Chapman, Luna and Marcia Moon. Currently he plays for Gordon’s Suitcase. Illimar owns and runs the Illimar Neitz Guitar School and is the co-owner Of Wagon Wheel Records.

Put together these musicians aim to create world music that will appeal to all ages and races. An acoustic vibe with upbeat tempos easily accessible to audiences from all walks of life. They find their inspiration in afro-cuban, blues, rock and performing live, combining all of it into a unique but familiar sound, which ensure lively and groovy evenings.
