The Hollow

The Hollow is a Metal band that hails from Durban.  Some of their influences include; Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy, In Flames, As I Lay Dying, Lamb of God, Chimaira, Avenged Sevenfold, Winds of Plague, Metallica, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth and many more.......

The Hollow is:
Wojtek Starzak - vocals

Duncan King - drums
Catlyn McDonald - bass
Patrick "Fly" Basson - guitar

The band as it exists now has been together since May 2008.  Duncan and Dean started jamming together in 2001 and tried to get a band going.  As the years slowly moved on, a number of people joined and left the band and it seemed that trying to find band members that were dedicated and of a similar mindset was going to be almost impossible.  Until one day when Duncan and Dean went to their local pub at the time, called Shlurp to have a game of pool and a keg or 2 of beer.  It was there that they found Catlyn jamming away on stage.  +/-3 more years went by along with a number of singers and guitarists and .......much.....much more beer.... when Fly and Wojtek joined the band and finally ended the long search for band members and began the brutalness that is The Hollow.
The Hollow was founded on the belief that you have to play what you feel and express that on stage with honesty and the raw brutal passion that is Metal!
