Fiction opened its doors for the first time on the 4th of May 2006.

Fiction opened its doors, and large corner balcony overlooking Long Street, for the first time on the 4th of May 2006 to thunderous support from all those bored with the humdrum of the usual night out.

It is located in a historical building in the heart of Cape Town's city centre with a large corner balcony that overlooks the hub of Cape Town's nightlife, Long Street.

The venue's décor is themed towards our idea of classic works of Fiction.

These range from cult movies, comics & TV to old school video games. We are constantly expanding on the theme with the aim of creating a nostalgic environment.

Musically, the concept behind the venue is to give djs the opportunity to promote more underground or lesser established styles of music...

And to further peoples awareness about the art of djing. The music styles vary from Indie, electro & minimal to liquid drum n bass, glitch hop, broken beats and beyond. Fiction is an intimately sized venue and can therefore cater for a more musically discerning clientele.
